At a time when there is increasing government and local council regulation on building projects and the accompanying architectural hardware - in July 2007, Guardian Lock & Engineering Co. Ltd. successfully fire tested* it's entire range of UK manufactured locks & latches to BS EN 1634-1, for use on 30 minute & 1 hour fire doors.

The company took this step to help architectural hardware specifier's & suppliers whilst scheduling, as they can have confidence that choosing any of Guardian's UK manufactured locks & latches will allow them conform to fire safety regulations*.

*Subject to there use on doors of the appropriate construction, and with the appropriate hardware and fittings.

OPERATION:	Inside - deadbolt thrown by lifting lever handle to vertical position and withdrawn by returning to the horizontal. Latchbolt withdrawn by depressing lever handle. Outside - Latchbolt operated by lever handle. Deadbolt withdrawn by emergency release.
SPECIFICATION: CASE.	Pierced to accept 38mm centre diagonally opposed bolt through fixing furniture adjacent to latchbolt follower and 38mm centre horizontally opposed bolt through fixing furniture adjacent to deadlock follower.
